The Norway lnternational, the Canaries’ longest-serving player, having landed from French side Rennes in August 2012, has concurred an arrangement to extend his stay at Carrow Road until the summer of 2021.
Tettey was out of agreement in the summer and his choice to submit for an additional a year paying little heed to the division Norwich end up in will be viewed as a significant lift for head coach Daniel Farke, whose team are at present battling relegation and host Liverpool on Saturday.
“We’re completely charmed and glad that Alex has committed himself to be among the team. It’s an extraordinary choice for the two parties,” Farke told the club site.
“Alex is a completely acknowledged leader in our team and a good example for our more youthful players, and the nature of his exhibitions have been extremely significant.”
Tettey has shown up for Norwich, with 19 of those coming in the Premier League this season. He has scored multiple times for the club.
